NATIONAL COMMODITY FUTURES EXAM, SERIES 3

About the Series 3

The Series 3 exam is the test element that must be passed to register as a Registered Commodity Representative.  The exam is given on a computer at a learning center in most cities.  The exam is composed of 125 questions, and the test is 150 minutes, (2 1/2 hours) in length.  You will be graded on 120 questions since 5 of the questions are new questions being sampled for later use as real questions.  There are two major elements of the exam.  They are "Market Knowledge" (85 questions) and "Rules and Regulations" (35 questions). Although the test is one test, it grades these two major sections  separately, and a score of 70% or higher on BOTH sections must be achieved, or the candidate fails the entire exam.

Investment Reference has taught this class for 26 years, and has taught for several of the nations major brokerage houses nation wide.  Classes are available on a monthly basis in California, but check with us for class availability in other areas.

We no longer offer a correspondence course.  The course has suffered due to our increased consulting commitments.  Call us and we can refer you to the best in the industry for home study commodity and security courses.

Once a candidate passes the series three exam, we will attempt to place the new Commodity Representative in a firm with our free placement service.  Although we cannot guarantee placement, we have been successful in every case so far.  We deal with firms nation wide, and have placed our students in positions in cities of every state.
